Miss Autumn

 Yeah I have always found Autumn evasive. Year after year I keep telling myself  I will get some Autumn shots and every year I Miss my chance. This year I set out with more determination, the first attempt was at Loch Trool. Although I waited on just a smidgen of light to crack the sky it didn't happen so I ended up the just a documentary shot. Four shot pano tow for the foreground two for the sky my first attempt at a pano lens smc Pentax-A 28mm

"A few days later" with expectations far exceeding the result above I thought I'd try another location. The second choice was the Girvan Valley in err the rain. Two shot focus stack, lens Sigma 10-20mm F4 EX ISO280 3sec.

Through The Mist

 This is a single handheld shot on a very misty Scottish night. The lens used was an old SMC Pentax-M 135mm 3.5 prime full manual which on a crop sensor is around 200mm. Shot at ISO 800 and 1/750 sec. Perhaps the settings could have been better but other than a quick guess there was no time to dial in other settings.

Hunter Blair Project

I decided to make a return visit to the Lady Hunter Blair walk at Straiton to scout out some of the other falls there.  Mainly with a view to shooting some autumn colour in the future. The first image which I intended to be B&W was shot with my old fully manual SMC Pentax-M 1:2 50mm lens at f/11. The second is of the same set of falls with a SMC Pentax-A 28mm lens... enjoy.
