The strange thing about taking this shot today was the foot with the leaky wellie boot filled with water was warmer that the foot in the watertight boot which felt like it would drop off with the cold.
Sounds like you invented the wetsuit..no wait, that's been done:) I once squished for the better part of a day up the Virgin River in Utah wearing neoprene wetboots.. feet were perfectly warm, but pickled almost beyond recognition when I got back. You do have quite a way of getting these "almost underwater" perspectives that make for some great shots.. just hope you don't go for an unexpected swim, camera and all.
