SPUMA (latin)
This was the next shot taken after I was washed off a rock by a wave while TAKING THIS ONE
Difficult to show scale at this stage I know, but the large rock in the BG is about 25ft plus giving an indication of the swell. The waves did reach about another 10ft above the rock but the pic's were spoiled by spume on the lens. As per-usual in shots like this one the camera was about an inch off the water level, tricky with waves crashing in.

Patina
a child's footprint left on stone as they walk through life weaving their own pattern on the world
as the world has left it's own pattern, set in stone

The Watching
Probably impossible to see in this December sunset but there are four gannets heading home to roost.

Spider
This photo taken towards the end of the summer and is in B&W not converted to grayscale. As for the title well he/she is on the mushroom. When taking the shot initially I was about to flick the spider away as I felt it spoiled the shot. However I'm glad that I didn't as it adds an unexpected something to the composition. Also I quite like the wee chap now.

Awash
Dunure Castle dates back to at least the 1200s and is built on an easily defensible outcrop overlooking the Firth of Clyde. It belonged to the Kennedy's and in time long past John Mor MacDonald Lord of the Isles was killed there after a wee bit of a rammy. Other notable visitors to the castle were Mary Queen of Scots but perhaps one of the most interesting facts is...

The Kennedy's wanted to gain control of the ground at nearby Crossraguel Abbey To these ends the Abbot of Crossraguel was kidnapped and taken to Dunure Castle thereupon was roasted on a spit over a open fire in the castle kitchens until he agreed to sign over the abbey. Not surprisingly he did so after two turns on the spit.

Ashrays
Ashrays are water faeries, they have whitish, almost translucent bodies, and can often be mistaken for sea ghosts.

M©OK Pareidolia
Welcome to the Pareidolia of Mook or should that be Mooks Pareidolia? No matter I hope you enjoy this mainly visual blog with a small quotient of information about the photographs.
All photos are taken with a small point and shoot camera, in the vain attempt to show you do not need any fancy equipment to produce hopefully one or two reasonable photos. The use of the words "great capture" used on there own are banned from this blog :)
Enjoy?
